When chatting with Chelsea & Wes about a location for their engagement session, they envisioned an urban location with historic charm. I knew Old Town Alexandria would be the perfect spot for them with the historic district of brick lined sidewalks and centuries old architecture.

As we made our way around Old Town, we even stopped by their favorite local spot Fontaine, where Chelsea and Wes had their first date. It only seemed fitting to stop by during their engagement session to reminisce on where it all began.

And don’t forget about the fur children! I was so ecstatic when Chelsea asked about bringing their two corgis for their session. Because if you know me, you know I love dogs.

Waffles and Butters didn’t stay for long, because hello excited about everything?! But we did get a few great family photos before Chelsea’s sister Emily (a past NSP bride!), took them back home. Anyone near us had to come say hi to Waffles and Butters during their session. And I don’t blame them one bit, they are so damn cute.

Chelsea and Wes have been together since 2015, with their wedding day being just shy of their 10 year anniversary. The two met in college through mutual friends. You could say it was a slow burn since they were friends for about a year before going on their first official date. But the rest is history! Chelsea and Wes will be getting married November 2025 at District Winery in DC.
