The Venue: Bortner Valley

With picturesque views, surrounding family farmland, Bortner Valley is perfect for any modern, rustic celebration. The well-maintained and restored manor house gives couples ample space to spread out while getting ready the morning of your celebration. And also makes for a great backdrop for photos. The pond makes for a great photo location or ceremony location. Honestly, there’s no bad spot on the property for photos!

Kathleen’s Overlook, the main reception barn on the property, overlooks pond. It is perfect for indoor/outdoor celebrations where guests can enjoy dancing under the beautiful chandelier or enjoy drinks on the lawn under the stars.

A Modern, Bold Styled Editorial at Bortner Valley

This styled shoot blends a perfect balance of boldness and elegance. The bold, colorful florals made an impressive statement, adding a sense of whimsical romance. The table design blended a rustic charm with a luxurious feel. The statement floral installation was the show-stopping centerpiece to bring the design together.

As the sun set, we transitioned to a more vibey or moody photography style. Table details were capturing under warm, inviting light, just as you’d see on a wedding day. The couple shared an intimate moment with drinks and cake, dynamic lighting added drama and depth.

It was the perfect balance of modern elegance and after dark romance.
