Casey & Giovanni Bortner Valley Engagement Session

I had so much fun with Casey and Giovanni for their engagement session at Bortner Valley in Hampstead, MD. I met Casey and Giovanni back in March at the Forever Yours Vendor Fair hosted by Black Rock Weddings and Bortner Valley. They are such kind people and I loved getting to connect with them once more.

Casey & Giovanni met in school, going to both middle school and high school together. The two have been together for 7 years… actually 7 years to the day of their engagement session! And they will be getting married on their 8 year anniversary next June!

They were a little anxious about getting their photos taken, the last time they had any sort of professional photos done together was their senior prom. So you could say they were definitely due for some updates!

We chatted about their post session plans since it was their anniversary after all. The plan being going to Raising Canes in Westminster. I’ve never been but they said I definitely have to go. I always love the random conversations we end up in during engagement sessions. Connecting over some seemingly random things.

I learned Casey actually is a teacher at East Middle School where I attended… way back when. Though I couldn’t remember all of my teacher’s names from almost 20 years ago, we’re thinking she may still work with a few!

I cannot wait for their wedding next June back at Bortner Valley. The design aesthetic: simple, elegant and modern rustic with dusty blue, white and greenery. Check back next year to see their wedding day!
