Abbey and Mac Howard County Conservancy Engagement Session

I loved meeting up with Abbey and Mac for their engagement session at Howard County Conservancy in Woodstock, MD. Though it was mid August, the early morning made for the perfect weather for these two.

Abbey and Mac have known each other for quite a while, meeting in high school. They were on the same swim team in high school and ended up at a division 1 school together for swim. Their love for swim has continued even after college, spending their free time now as swim coaches.

Aside from working and coaching, the two love taking walks with their dogs. Abbey loves watching Grey’s Anatomy, so safe to say we bonded over both our dogs and Meredith Grey.

Mac proposed on a spring day at Brighton Dam Azalea Garden, so when chatting about a location, Howard County Conservancy felt so fitting! Between the gardens and fields, it made for the perfect mix of elegant and laidback.

Abbey’s dream was to have the session during golden hour, so I was thrilled that the sun was shining for them that morning. Especially when the previously two days, we had nothing but rain in Maryland. The grass was definitely wet, so at one point Mac just gave up on his shoes. But he tends to prefer no shoes anyway, apparently walking their dog around their neighborhood without shoes. I could never!

Abbey and Mac are still in the early stages of planning. So far they know it will be at Kylan Barn next September! With a vibe of joyful, authentic, and timeless.
