I loved spending time getting to know Ilana and Sam during their Logan Circle engagement session. We first spent time at the National Gallery of Art, one of their favorite museums in the city, before heading to Logan Circle.
Their session was so laid back as we walked around their neighborhood. We chatted about their upcoming wedding, Ilana’s favorite books, and Sam’s love for sports. They showed me their favorite spots including the charming Blagden Alley, before finding our way to the circle in the heart of the neighborhood.
When Ilana and Sam aren’t working, they love to spend time exploring new neighborhoods, whether it’s around the corner or across the globe. The perfect day looks like grabbing coffee, walking around the streets and popping into shops, then finishing the day with a meal at a fun restaurant.
So when planning their engagement session, emulating their ideal day in their own city seemed perfect! Just being with each other and in a place they knew and loved allowed the two almost instantly relax during their session.
Ilana and Sam have been together since 2021. They met through mutual friend’s and Sam’s brother when Sam tagged along to party that Ilana happened to be going to as well. I can’t wait to celebrate these two with Abby’s Events in August 2025!
The Victorian houses that surround Logan Circle contain centuries of history. And just one block from the trendy restaurants, gay bars, and craft beer pubs on 14th Street. This makes Logan Circle is a perfect blend of historic and urban charm.
The Circle is a highly trafficked area, so it’s always helpful to plan extra time for your session or even opt for a sunrise session, with time to pop into a coffee shop of course. If you’re looking for a quaint neighborhood for your engagement session, Logan Circle is the perfect choice.
