Anastasia and Joey’s summer time Mansion at Valley Country Club wedding day

Anastasia and Joey’s wedding day started out with Anastasia getting ready in their home and photographing their beautiful details before heading to Mansion at Valley Country Club. The couple was very big on the details of their wedding day. She included various nods to loved ones throughout the day. The first one being a handkerchief made with remnants of her aunt’s wedding dress. Such a sweet way to keep the happy tears at bay! Anastasia’s grandfather was also with her throughout the day with his wedding ring tied to her bouquet.

Final getting ready moments

Getting ready touches were finalized in their separate bride and groom suites at the Mansion at Valley Country Club. The Towson wedding venue has great prep space for both groups. Plenty of natural light for the ladies and a great space for Anastasia’s reveal to her bridesmaids. Across the hall, the groomsmen enjoyed a few drinks and laughs in the sports themed room.

A Moment for Father and Daughter

The grand staircase at the Mansion at Valley Country Club provided the perfect setting for a first look with Anastasia’s dad. I always suggest this planning for this on your wedding day. It is always such a sweet moment between father and daughter to see his baby girl on her wedding day.

The Private First Look

Then it was time for the couple’s first look. The shade of the large trees outside the Mansion at Valley Country Club was the perfect setting! During their first look and private moment together, Anastasia & Joey decided to exchange gifts. The surprise on each other’s faces as they opened their gifts was priceless. Joey received a shiny, gold Citizen watch and Anastasia received a beautiful Tory Burch handbag.

Outdoor ceremony

From the moment I started working with Anastasia & Joey, the weather plagued us! From pouring rain during their proposal to multiple rescheduled engagement sessions, it seemed like anytime we were together the clouds loomed over us. So we did all of the rain dances ahead of their wedding day. It turned out to be a beautiful sunny Saturday in July! The front lawn of the Mansion at Valley Country Club was the perfect backdrop for their ceremony. It was a beautiful ceremony with such sweet vows.

“I love you more” Anastasia’s vows said. “When I say I love you more, I don’t mean more than you. I mean more than anything else I could love.”

Finally newlyweds

The moment after becoming husband and wife the couple took a moment with their wedding party and close family to celebrate. When Anastasia saw Joey’s mom she happily said “HI MRS. ORDAKOWSKI” to which Joey’s mom giddily “HI MRS. ORDAKOWSKI!”. You could tell they were both so thrilled to become family!

A Personal Guest Book

As their guests entered the foyer of the Mansion at Valley Country Club they were greeted with the most unique guestbook. The couple are big Washington Capitals hockey fans! They tied their love of the team and how they’ve connected over sports with their guest “book”. Guests were asked to sign personalized Capitals jerseys showing their names and wedding day.

Surrounded by the Right People

The couple and their wedding party know how to have a good time. This was apparent from the moment we entered the bridal suite at the Mansion at Valley Country Club where the groomsmen pulled some sneaky tricks. Since they arrived ahead of the bride and bridesmaids, they had some pranks to play. As Anastasia went to pour herself a glass of champagne, she discovered she’d been iced! That fun carried to their wedding party entrances with some unique ideas!

Sentimental Family Items

Keeping up with the sentimental family items, during their dinner and speeches the newlyweds used a big cup with curly straws that her parents also used at their wedding. After the traditional dances with Joey’s mom and Anastasia’s father, Anastasia surprised everyone with a dance with her mom as well. Throughout the day I could see the bond the two of them have so it was so sweet that Anastasia and her mom got to share this moment together. And let’s just say there were very few dry eyes in the room!

Sneaking Out for Sunset Photos

One thing I love about summer weddings is the opportunity for more couples photos since the sunsets so late! With the Mansion at Valley Country Club as the backdrop, the couple had a few extra moments to enjoy together. Sunset photos are the perfect time to have more fun with your portraits and add in more movement with walking and dancing.

Dancing All Night Long

The fun and party absolutely carried through to the dance floor with the help of a great DJ! The glow sticks were such a fun addition to keep the vibes high and were a great way to wrap up the night with a glow stick exit.

Thank you so much Anastasia & Joey for choosing me to photograph your beautiful wedding. It was such a honor! You have such a great family and group of friends who love you all so dearly. And you give that love right back. I cannot wait to see your marriage flourish for years to come!
