simplifying wedding planning

It’s no secret that the start to 2024 has been unexceptionally rainy. Practically raining every single weekend from the start of the year through May. I had been checking the weather leading up to their session and there was no chance of rain predicted during their Baltimore engagement session. Only around 10pm that night. Well… that was a lie!

We started their session on the water in Fells Point before making our way over to Cylburn Arboretum for the second half of their session. When we were planning for their engagement session, Jen and Matt shared that they liked the idea of both city scapes and gardens. So when I threw out the idea, they were all for it!

Tucked away on the promenade near the Pendry Hotel, we were able to avoid the Saturday evening crowds to capture their love together. The romance of the water and the timelessness of the vines make this location one of my favorites in Baltimore.

Jen and Matt’s Baltimore engagement session was just as joyful as it was romantic. The new Cylburn Nature Education Center made for a great backdrop for a modern touch to their timeless images. I loved both of their outfits. Jen’s dress coming from inspiration I shared (we love Baltic Born!). As the rain started to slowly trickle in, we practically had Cylburn Arboretum to ourselves and thankful I always keep clear umbrellas in my car. They were the perfect way to wrap up their session, without having to cut it too short.

I always recommend you plan to go out to dinner after your engagement session, I mean you’re already all dressed up! And Jen and Matt did just that. Finishing up their Baltimore engagement session with dinner in the city, the perfect way to end the day.

Jen and Matt first connected back in the fall of 2022 and have been together ever since. They will tie the knot this October at the Mansion at Valley Country Club. I can’t wait to celebrate with them on their big day!
