Do you like the photographer’s style? Every photographer has a different way of posing, using light, capturing moments, and editing. Consider what you want your photos to look and feel like. Do you want them to feel editorial, high end, film inspired, timeless, lighter, darker, true to color. I’m sure you’ve heard these words many times. But truly think about what you want your memories to look like years from now.
When looking at a photographer’s work, consider if it captures the type of emotions you want remember your wedding day by. Be sure to look not only on social media and their websites but also blog posts and ask for full galleries if they are not already shared with you.
Do you connect with them?
You will spend a lot of time with your photographer on your wedding day, so you want to make sure you like them beyond their work. Do you connect with them on a personal level? It is always a great idea to have a call with your potential photographer so you can get to know each other. You are more than your wedding day and I want to know who you both are!
Do they offer everything you’re looking for? Is it in your budget?
This may include hours of coverage the day of, an additional photographer, engagement sessions, and products such as albums, prints, and wall art. You are investing a good amount of money in your wedding photography, so you should get everything you want! In addition to everything you want, make sure it fits your budget.
Your wedding photos will be one of the few physical memories you’ll have from the wedding day so you want to make sure you’ll like them by choosing a wedding photographer you love and connect with!
